To me, life is one big to-do list. I don't know how to relax. Some see it as a fault, I see it as wanting to pack 48 hours of stuff into 24. I don't know what patience is. I'm a worrier. I worry about anything and everything. I'm planned and organized, but just once I'd like to be spontaneous. I'll have to plan a time for that. I married the love of my life and best friend in June, 2011, and we purchased our first home in February of 2012. I love decorating and redecorating our little cottage. I'm always switching things up and/or dreaming about my next project. So, now I've joined the ranks of DIY bloggers, and my weekends are currently filled with primer, paint, and unlimited trips to Lowe's and Home Depot.
I'm also an avid coupon user, bargain hunter, and insatiable shopper. I’m a firm believer that second-hand doesn’t always mean second-rate. I love incorporating thrift store finds and consignment buys into my every day. From scrapbooking and the occasional DIY home project to discount clothing and travel, I strive to do (and buy!) much more for less.
Love and a Cottage was created to share our story and tell the world how we do it all on a budget. It also seemed like the best way to catalog our adventures in love, marriage, and owning our first home. We are so excited to see what this life has in store for us, and are even more excited to be able to share it with you!
