We moved into on our house exactly one year ago this week! I can't believe it's been a year already. It's been quite the whirlwind, but I have to say I love our house. Yes, it's a lot of work (and money!), but there is just something about putting your money towards something that's yours. I love thinking up new ways to decorate or what renovations we'll do down the road.
For the first 8 or 9 months we lived in our house, we didn't really enjoy it. We were so busy priming and painting on the weekends that we never took the time to actually take a deep breath and enjoy our new space. Now that the laundry room has been renovated, the walls are all painted, and everything has been decorated (for the most part), we have been sitting back and relaxing in our home.
We used to spend all our time in and around our apartment, the city, our jobs and now everything we do is different. We spend less time at bars and restaurants and more time at Lowe's and Home Goods. I look back to a year ago and I can't believe how different life is. New house, new jobs for both the hubby and I. I wouldn't change it for the world.
